New Product: Bio-K+ Extra Stress Support with Sensoril
Bio-K+ has introduced the Extra Stress Support blend, which combines probiotics with sensoril. The extract is made with the roots and leaves of the ashwagandha plant and has been studied in 13 research papers.
Sensoril reduces cortisol levels, a stress marker, and helps with occasional sleep issues.
It’s mixed with Bio-K+'s probiotic blend, with each drink containing 80 billion CFUs of three probiotic strains: Lactobacillus acidophilus CL1285, Lactobacillus casei LBC80R and Lactobacillus rhamnosus CLR2.
It is the latest product in Bio-K+’s functional probiotics, which includes Bio-K+ Extra with Wellmune for immune function and Bio-K+ Extra with Cereboost for cognitive performance.
“We are thrilled to expand our product offering in the fast-growing Functional Beverages Category and cater to consumers’ keen interest in healthy lifestyles and wellbeing,” says Viviane Lemire, marketing director of Bio-K+ Plus, in a press release.
Bio-K+’s website says its probiotics support gut health by providing good bacteria. According to the Clinical Guide to Probiotic Products Available in Canada, Health Canada has approved Bio-K+ Drinkable Probiotics for the prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhea and clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea.
