NEW PRODUCT: OptiFer Alpha heme iron supplement

OptiFer is a new iron supplement for adults who have or are at risk of iron deficiency anemia. 

Manufactured in Sweden, OptiFer contains 11 mg of heme iron, which is readily bioavailable and easily absorbed. It’s also not abosbed with the non-specific transporter that other irons use, and which is also used by calcium, magnesium and other ions. 

OptiFer is recognized by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, and the iron in the pills doesn’t pass through to breast milk. Pregnant women should consult their physicians or pharmacists before using it. 

It’s made from non-GMO bovine, and is Halal. It doesn’t contain any gluten or wheat products, so it’s suitable for people with celiac disease.
