New Product: HydraSense Complete
A new product from Bayer that hydrates mild and moderately dry eyes has entered the Canadian market.
HydraSense Complete helps with itching, burning and redness, as well as chronic dry eyes. It reduces tear evaporation, which makes eyes more hydrated for longer.
The drops contain 0.15% sodium hyaluronate, which acts as a lubricant, and 2% ectoine, an osmoprotectant which attracts and retains moisture and stabilizes the tear film’s lipid layer.
In addition, it’s preservative- and phosphate-free, and the sodium hyaluronate lubricant is naturally sourced. It’s O.K. to use the drops with contact lenses, and it is effective for up to a year.
People with dry eyes can have blurry vision, itchy, irritated eyes, and discomfort in bright settings. Lifestyle changes that can help include increasing their intake of omega-3s, drinking more water, and ensuring they’re getting enough sleep. And they should consult an eye care professional as well.
