700 Alberta pharmacies to begin distributing free boxes of rapid tests

Starting Dec. 17, Albertans can get free BTNX rapid test kits from 700 selecty pharmacies in urban centres including Red Deer, Calgary and Edmonton.

An additional 140 community sites will also distribute the test, with the plan being to expand to more locations as supply grows.

On a first-come, first-served basis, individual Albertans can pick up one box of five tests within a 14-period per person, and can grab a second box for someone who can’t come get it themselves upon providing that person’s healthcare number.
