The Medical Post's 2010 physician OTC survey found canadian doctors provide counselling on OTC products to their patients 5.7 times in a typical day. Whether it is what cold sore remedy, nasal decongestant, or even sunscreen to use, Candians take your advice on nonperscription medicines very seriously. Here, with our annual OTC survey, you can find out just what your colleagues are reccomending.

Survey Methodology

A request to participate in the Medical Post's Physician Survey on OTC Counselling and Recommendations was e-mailed to Canadian doctors and amde available for online participation between Oct. 26, 2009, and Jan. 22, 2010. Participants could enter more than one product in each category. Responses were received from 861 doctors. The margin of error is ± 2.8%, 18 times out of 20.
